Two courses, 36 holes

Dewstow is a 36 hole complex laid out over the meadowland of the Dewstow estate. The Valley course follows the natural contours of the land through mature trees and water; the Park course is the more open of the two. Both are easy walking, and both start and finish close to the range clubhouse and Golf Academy.

The Valley course

The Valley was designed around the natural contours of the estate meadowlands. Several thousand trees have been planted to supplement the mature woodland, and the course carries a number of water hazards with the wildlife that comes with them. The River Severn and the two Severn bridges make a fine backdrop to many of the holes.

Par 72. 6,110 yards off the white tees, 5,856 off the yellow and 5,439 off the red. Course rating 70. The full card is below.

The Park course

The Park is the more open of the two layouts, with a there-and-back character and fewer hazards to negotiate. It measures 6,226 yards off the white tees to a par of 69, which makes it the tighter test of accuracy rather than length. Larger societies are often split across both courses so that nobody is left waiting for a late tee time.

Green fees

Green fees start from around £22 for 18 holes and vary by course, season and time of day. Twilight golf runs from 6pm daily: play as many holes as you can get in for £16. There are reduced rates for pensioners Monday to Friday.

Call the pro shop on 01291 430444 for today’s rate, or ask when you book. Buggies, trolleys and clubs are all available to hire — please reserve a buggy in advance, since numbers are limited.

Practice facilities

The 24-bay floodlit driving range, putting green, chipping green and practice bunker are all beside the clubhouse, so there is somewhere to warm up before you go out. See the Driving Range and Academy page for lessons.

Visitors and dress code

Visitors are welcome on both courses seven days a week, and we ask that you book a tee time rather than turning up on spec, particularly at weekends. We ask for recognised golf attire on the course, and for the clubhouse we ask that you keep your golf shoes off the carpet. If you are unsure whether something will be acceptable, call the pro shop before you travel.

The club has changing rooms and lockers, a pro shop and Oakley’s restaurant, where you can watch the golf from your table.
