The clubhouse

You do not need a set of clubs to come to Dewstow. Oakley’s restaurant is open to visitors for lunch, for afternoon tea and for a drink with a view over the course, and you can watch the golf from your table. Non-golfing visitors are always welcome.

Bar and restaurant

The bar and kitchen run through the day, from a bacon bap before an early tee time to a two course meal after a society day. There is a wide range of dining options, in Oakley’s or in the other rooms, and groups and visitors are welcome in all of them. Bar prices are the sort golfers expect rather than the sort a function venue charges.

Food service and bar hours shift with the season and with what is on the tee sheet, so call 01291 430444 if you are making a special trip. The entrance foyer is worth a look on the way in: the boards there carry the names of club dignitaries going back to 1988.

Pamper yourself at Dewstow

Essence of Beauty operates from the club. One treatment and afternoon tea costs from £28 per person. Choose from back massage, Indian head massage, revival massage, facials and a mini manicure.

It is a popular half-day for a group, and it works well alongside a golf day: some of the party play, the rest have a treatment and tea, and everyone meets in the clubhouse afterwards. Book treatments through the club on 01291 430444.

Dewstow Gardens & Grottoes

On our doorstep is the stunning Dewstow Gardens and Grottoes, a Grade I listed Edwardian water garden with underground tunnels and grottoes cut below the lawns. It is genuinely unusual, and worth the trip on its own.

We run packages that combine entry to the gardens with a meal at the club, so you can gather a group together and make a day of it. The gardens are usually open daily through the season, from spring to early November; check their site or call us and we will confirm before you set out.
