The Rock and
Alpine Garden which was recovered from under a concrete farm yard.
Rock garden:
Whilst clearing the area by the grotto entrance a step was found in an
uncharacteristic place, upon further digging the rock garden emerged
under what was an old orchard and concrete farmyard.
Original Pulhamite features were unearthed and the ponds were found
almost intact with most of the large natural rocks still around the
edges.
The paths around the rock garden could just be made out but the beds had
to be arranged and planted. The pergolas were erected over the original
tunnel openings, which have always been visible from above as empty
holes.
