Our qualified professional is on hand to advise you on all matters golf related; from custom fitting of golf clubs, to helping you make informed purchasing decisions on any new equipment. One-on-one coaching sessions are a favourite as are the increasingly popular short game clinics.

Meet the Professional

Stephen Truman – Head Professional & Performance Coach (Class AA)
Steve came from Llanwern Golf Club, where he was Assistant Professional, to Dewstow when he was appointed the Head Professional in 2005. He has been a professional since 2002

Steve is a very experienced coach. He has worked with players of all levels including professionals, internationals and county champions. His reputation as a teacher has led to feature articles in Golf Publications and presenting his own TV golf show.

Steve applies a simple, uncomplicated approach to his coaching and uses the latest technology with his students, including video analysis and physical screenings. This helps to give maximum benefit to the student and enhance their understanding and appreciation of the mechanics of their golf swing.

Prior to arriving at Dewstow, Stephen regularly played in South West region events, and still plays whenever he can.
